Christmas 2010

Wow what a great Christmas we have had. We started our christmas at Scott's parents house. We had a great time with his long time friends the Williams' where we played Minute to win it games Christmas Eve night. It was so much fun and took a lot of planning of my in laws. Santa found our kids at Scott's parents and he left lots of great things. Prestley wanted a karaoke machine, boot jeans and a golf bag james avery charm. She received them all. Pryce, my musical one, wanted a drum set, tech jersey, legos and a guitar and yes he got everything as well. Needless to say we had some music all day on Christmas day. After lunch we then headed to my parent's house where we opened many more gifts. Our parents continue to spoil us and our kids. Here are a few pictures of our wonderful two days.

Nana and pops with their grandkids. The grandkids waiting on Santa.

The grandkids. Papa and Dodes with their pride and joy.

My family before church. We have been so blessed. God continues to provide for us each day and we have had such a wonderful year. Thank you God for my wonderful family.

Basketball season=Busy Busy Busy

I try so hard to stay up with my blog, but I just can't. My plate is super full right now, but I am loving my life. God has truly blessed me with a great job that I love, great kids, a wonderful husband and family, and awesome friends. Basketball season just started and I am loving getting back on the court. I am coaching JV and I am the varsity assistant. We had our first scrimmage today that proved we have a lot to work on before our first game on the 9th. Here are the pictures from our church fall festival. My sweet children wanted to be scary things this year. So long to the sweet and cute Halloween costumes. Hope you all have a Happy Halloween and a wonderful fall.

More Soccer Pictures

She is focusing hard!!
My precious kiddos before the game

She looks so little in her uniform. It is huge.
Bubba looks at me when he thinks he does good. I guess he knows I am going to take a picture:)

I love watching my kids play. I can't believe they are big enough to be playing and I know we will have many more years to watch them play. My life is truly blessed. I can't thank God enough for my precious kids and husband.
Have a great week and I will try to update more often than once every two months.

Prestley- Soccer and the Fair parade

For the past two years, Prestley and her best friend Meghan have been asked to hold the Aristocat banner in the Fair Parade. This year the Dance coach got them matching dresses, earrings, hair accessories and make-up. They looked so big. They have to walk for 2 hours and this year they were soaked with rain.

Prestley and Meg struggling to hold the big banner in the rain.

Here she is in action on the soccer field. She is of course the smallest one on the team, but she works so hard. She is on the Dolphins and they have one 1 game and lost two.

Soccer 2010

I love this Picture!! Coach Hammond talking to the boys. My big boy ready for his game. He is a stud on the soccer field:)

Pres and Cash watching the game. He stops to pose for his mom. Look at him in action.

Pryce loves Soccer. I know I am his mom, but he really looks like a natural out there. He has improved so much since last year. Everyday he asks me, "Is today soccer practice?" Scott is coaching his team and he does an awesome job with the 5 and 6 year olds. I am really not made for that age. His team is the Red Raiders and they are black and white:)

It has been way too long

It has been 7 weeks since I last posted and I feel like it has only been 2 weeks. The beginning of the school always seems like a blur, but with two kids now in school, it is even worse this year. I can' t believe I don't have a child in daycare anymore. It is nice to not have the expense of daycare, but it really makes me sad that my babies are growing up. The first few weeks of school have been great. Pryce is finally getting used to school and all "the work" as he says. Prestley is loving 3rd grade and is doing great in all her subjects. I have great classes this year and I love coaching again. The girls are working hard and we are getting ready to start after school practice in two weeks. Scott loves his new school and loves working in town.
Hope you all have a had a great start to the new year.

Year #11

Welcome Back to School
This week started my 11th year of teaching and I can hardly believe it. Although I was sad to see summer go, this really was a great week. I was a little hesistant starting this year because I am coaching basketball again. I have enjoyed getting back in the gym and really feel like I never was gone.
I can not believe my baby started Kinder this year. He is loving school so far and really enjoys riding the bus each day after school. They are so cute, about 10 little kiddos ride the bus from the elementary to the high school because all of their parents work there. They come running through the halls each afternoon just giggling and talking the whole way to the classrooms.
My little diva is now in the 3rd grade and loves school as always. She is a little angel at school and just wants to please everyone. She is enjoying changing classrooms this year for the first time and loves both of her teachers.
Scott started at his new school this year in town and loves it.
Wishing you a great new year!!

Just being a little emotional

Well as I sit here on this Sunday afternoon, I have a million last minute things I need to get done before my summer is officially over. Yet, I just sit here and think of how sad I really am. Don't get me wrong I feel so blessed to have a job that I absolutely love, but man I love summer and I have truly loved being with my kids this summer. As I said in an earlier post, last summer I didn't get to enjoy time and fun with my kids because I had 3 different surgeries; therefore, this summer I promised myself I would make that up to my children. And we did!! My two kids make me feel so proud each day. I am truly blessed to be called their mom. We started the summer off with a great family vacation in San Diego and Newport Beach where they cheered me on to complete my first marathon ever and where were able to spend time with precious friends. When we came home from vacation, we basically went to Schlitterbahn once or twice a week and just enjoyed playing at home. The first week of July brought another great year at church camp where my precious girl sang in front of 400+ people and man did that make mama proud. After church camp, we have just enjoyed the river and schlitterbahn several days a week. To wrap up the summer, we were blessed to go on an amazing beach vacation with my family. That all being said, I can't help but feel a little sad that it is all over. I think another reason why I feel sadness is that my baby is going to Kindergarden this year and my little princess is in 3rd grade, Yes I said 3rd grade. As I start my eleventh year of teaching tomorrow, I am so excited to be coaching basketball again. I just wish I could sleep until 8 each day then go to school:) Anyway I wish everyone a great upcoming school year and thank you God for such a wonderful summer.

My little Golfer

This past week Prestley had the New Braunfels city championship. I am having so much fun watching her play golf. I never was a golfer, so I was kind of dreading sitting there for hours upon hours watching her in the 100 degree weather. I was completely wrong!! This is so much fun and she is having a blast. This was her 5th tournament of her short "career" and she did her best ever. In 12 holes she shot an 87 and for an 8 year old, that is awesome. I love watching her and her daddy share these precious moments and know there will be many many more throughout the years. Pryce has been a real trooper throughout the summer as well. Bless his heart, he sits in the cart and watches his big sister and when he gets tired of doing that he gets his golf clubs and practices his swing as well. Poor thing, on Tuesday his mom ran over his foot in the golf cart and really thought it was seriously hurt. It wasn't, he is tough!!! I am loving being a mom and watching my children do what they love. Good job Pres!!!
I love this picture. This is the three girls finishing their first
round and shaking hands. I love it!!

Concentrating!!! This is my all time favorite picture
of her and her daddy!!

Hope you all have a great rest of your week. Happy Thursday!

Marsha

Port A 2010

This past weekend we were able to go to Port A with all of my family. It was so much fun. The kids absolutely love the beach and this summer they got to play with their cousins on the beach. This was our last Hoorah before school starts. Summer is officially over, but what a great summer we have had. Thank you Mom, Dad, Mitzi and Clint for sharing such a great weekend with us.

Schlitterbahn

We have had season passes for three summers now and I have yet to take my camera to the park to take pictures of my kids. We spend more than 70% of our summer there so I figure I need to take pictures. Last Tuesday the kids and I found a pool that belongs to schlitterbahn, so we went for a few hours and I brought my camera.
These are the parts of being a school teacher/coach that I love. SUMMER VACATION. I have really enjoyed this summer with my kids. I feel like we have spent a lot more time together doing a lot of fun things. I love living this close to Schlitterbahn and the river because my kids are in the water almost everyday. Thank you Pryce and Prestley for a great summer.

2 weeks left

I don't have any pictures to post, but wanted to check into my blog so people wouldn't stop reading. I can't believe there is only 2 weeks left of my summer. It really makes me sad. We have had such a great summer, I don't want it to end. This truly has been the best summer in a long time. I have got to spend a lot of time with my kids and just hanging out with them and Scott. I remember this time last year I was recovering from a hysterectomy and a "cancer" scare. I feel 100% better now than I did then. Although summer is over in a few weeks, we have a lot ahead of us. Next Thursday we are going to Port A with my parents and Mitzi and her family. I am so excited. I love the beach and my kids absolutely love it!! When we get back from there my sweet friend Jenise is coming to stay with us for a few nights. I am so excited about that because I havent seen her in about 5 or so years. When she leaves, my summer will be over. I am looking forward to this school year as I will be taking on a new job. I am still teaching at the same high school, which I love, but this year I will be coaching JV basketball. Yes 2 years is all I could stay off the court. I really am excited, but pray that the Lord will guide me to be a great mother, wife, teacher and coach. I don't want to take away from my family. Prestley is so excited about me coaching. She says everyday "Mom when can we go to the gym." I love that. For now I will close and next time I blog I promise to have some pictures. Take care and happy rest of the summer.

Golf Tournament #3

This was Prestley's 3rd tournament of her "career" and she gets better each time. She has two more this summer and she seems to be having a blast with it. This is the first thing she has really enjoyed doing and we don't have to make her go practice and play. She had her first meltdown on hole two and I am sure there will be manyh more before she is done with this golf business. Mommy and Daddy had to boost her up a little and then she was good to go for the remainder of the tournament.

I love how she is looking up at her daddy in this photo. She listens to everything he says on the golf course. She may not do everything he says, but she does listen.

Poor Bubba is not old enough, but he is so good at watching his big sister and rooting her on:)
